Security at Muvo.
How we protect your store's data and your customers' addresses, and what we do if something goes wrong.
Last updated November 3, 2026
Muvo is made by Baltic Global Inc. d/b/a Muvo. Your orders hold your customers' names and addresses, so we treat them with care. Here's what we do, in plain words.
How we protect data
- Encrypted: every connection to Muvo uses HTTPS. Keys we hold for you (like a carrier account) are encrypted in our database.
- Only what's needed: Muvo asks Shopify only for the access it needs to ship. Extra access (for Muvo Hub, or older orders for the free shipping audit) is asked for only when you turn that feature on, and you can say no.
- Limited staff access: only a small number of Muvo staff can see a seller's orders, and only to run the service or help when you ask. Every time staff open a seller's orders or customer details, it's recorded: who, when and which account.
- Kept separate: each Muvo account sees only its own stores, orders and settings.
- Deleted on time: customer names, street addresses, emails and phone numbers on shipments are deleted 24 months after the label. We keep the city, state, first three ZIP digits, tracking and costs for your records. When you uninstall Muvo or ask us to delete your data, we delete it sooner. See the privacy policy.
- Backed up: our database host keeps continuous backups so we can recover from a failure.
If something goes wrong
We have a written incident response policy, and one person is responsible for it: Vladimir Popov, owner of Baltic Global Inc. If we find, or someone tells us about, a problem that may expose your data, we:
- Write it down and check how serious it is.
- Stop it: end affected sessions, lock affected accounts, and turn off the part that's broken.
- Change the keys: replace every password and key that could be affected.
- Tell you within 72 hours if your data was involved: what happened, what data, what we did and what you should do. If Shopify store data is involved, we tell Shopify within 72 hours too.
- Learn from it: we log every incident and review it within two weeks, then fix the cause.
We review the policy at least once a year.
